NO SPARK / 1983 MERCURY 80 HP

NEW TRIGGER / NEW STATOR / NO SPARK
SOUNDS WEIRD BUT SWITCH BOX WIRED CORRECTLT BUT WAS INSTALLED UPSIDE DOWN BY SOMEONE
WHOULD THAT CAUSE ANY PROBLEM WITH NO SPARK ??

As long as each wire went to the proper terminal being upside down isn't going to matter. Did you disconnect the black/yellow wire and recheck for spark?

It shouldn't if correctly wired. Try turning the switchbox right side up and look at the wiring. Make sure wiring matches schematic.

ok thanks, I didnt think it would make a difference being upside down.
Yes, even disconnected wire harness and jumped from solenoid still no spark
guessing switchbox is bad
