Are the carberators on the 100 and 115 hp 2+2 motors the same other than the jetting or are they different between the two and does the year matter as long as they are the 2+2 motor

The venture throat is different thus not the same and years wont matter as long as all are same series...

I have been told by a mercury dealer that looked at it for me that I have a miss matched set of carbs. Stamped into the carb flange is 14-1 for cyl. #1 14-2 for cyl. #2 11-3 for cyl. #3 and 11-4 for cyl. #4. All carbs have .054 jets in them but shop said the 14-1 and 14-2 are 115 carbs and 11-3 and 11-4 are 100 carbs. It is a 100 hp motor. Motor won't tach out under load and once it's warm won't idle without advancing throttle a little. Shop told me top two carbs are too big and causing a flooding or running to rich issue. Does this make sense?

Thank you for your help. In The meantime I found a matched set of 4 100 hp carbs. Hope it does the trick. Thanks again
