May be someone can help me as I am looking to put a security lanyard / Kill switch on a Mercury 500 outboard (year 1969).
The security system I got on my boat is working on the following way, wire not connected when the lanyard is in, and if the lanyard is out connection is made.
Do you know how to connect the security system to my outboard, or better to the remote control without Killing the switch boxe ?
Or do you think it wlll be better to change the kill switch system, and use one when lanyard is out just cut the ignition (as the key is doing on the MerControl box)
