hey guys I recently hooked up a 1999 mercury 125 hp outboard and AM not happy with how stiff the throttle is. I have the tension on the controls turned all the way down. it is just very hard to accelerate. I I was wondering if there is anything I can adjust on the motor that will help this? Also just to mention my tables have to go around 2 or 3 fairly tight corners close to 90 Degrees could this be causing some resistance?

2 or 3 tight 90 degree turns will definitely do what you are describing ! You need to find a straighter path for the cables. I would disconnect the cable and lay it straight and try it to make sure the cable works ok then reroute it.

Going around turns with cables requires a large bend radius (meaning as big an arc as you can achieve). Bending them sharply will not only make it hard to move the inner cable but in fact may kink the sheath.
