I've been at war with this boat for the past month or so trying to bring it back to life. I had her up to top speed today, that was exciting. Been having trouble getting her timed correctly. Was going to throw in the towel but for the heck of it I punched it one last time just to see what would happen. Popped right out of hole and ran strong, a little too strong, rpms were up around 4800, sticker on engine says 4600 max. Didn't even get a chance to throttle it down before I heard a pop and then engine cut out. Now my 20 amp ignition fuse keeps blowing every time I turn key to acc on position. Boat won't start of course. Did I fry the ignition amplifier or something?

I can't help but think that this has something to do with that darn "new style" ignition sensor I installed in distributor. Wishing I would have left old one in there. Replaced it during the process or troubleshooting a different issue.
