Having trouble getting the electric fuel pump to engage/excite when hooking the harness up to the battery. I've got the 5-6 pin jumped and then ad the 7 to crank but no juice from the relay to the pump. Am I missing something else that the ECM is looking for?

Hi there, welcome to iboats!:)

if all the other wiring and fuses are good than the fuel pump should turn on for 2 seconds then off when you jump 5 & 6 then once you start cranking the engine with 7, the fuel pump should re-energize.

If you're not getting that to happen then start checking for good 12.6ish volt power and ground at a bunch of points on the engine using a multimeter. Also confirm your relays are working.... If you don't think they are working, try tapping on them along with switching them around to see if there's any differences. Also check for power at the relay plugs as well during "key up" and/or engine crank.

Maybe try posting a video of what/how you're trying to start it?

Thanks.I checked every thing found it was human error haha . Failed to realize that the mail/female section of the harness behind the block was for each other. I pulled the engine out of the boat last year and disconnected that part of harness in the boat so in the back of head I assumed there were connectors in the boat. She fired right up ;). Thanks again!!
