So, I am trying to remove a shift cable from a Bravo gimbal housing and with a wrench on the backside and a socket on the front, it simply spins and spins. Am I missing something or start cutting?

You are using a deep, thin-wall socket and getting a good grasp on the nut? And the flare wrench is getting a good grip?

I just removed the shift cable on my B3 and I had no issues like you describe.

Since you are planning on replacing it, the cable along with nut and washer are included in the OEM kit so no need to save any of the components.

Is a Bravo, so I don't really have the issue with reach like an Alpha, but yes, I believe the nut is just spinning on the soft brass and doesn't want to come out.
Time to start cutting, sounds like.
