Spark plugs merc 5.7 from 1996

Is it possible that I have to remove the exhaust manifold to remove the spark plugs? Seems crazy but it sure looks that way

No, there should be a way . . . got any pictures to post?

I cannot see many of the spark plugs on my boat engines (2), so I have to reach in and just feel where they are, then get a wrench on them.

It is all part of the 'fun' of boat maintenance.

Take a 5/8 socket and grinde it like a cone or have it machined. Hopefully someone will post a pick there was a post not to long ago on this..
