2004 Caravelle 24' Bowrider with 350 Mag MPI 300hp OM666377 with 555 ecm. When staring the engine it immediately dies. Pushing the neutral start switch and advancing the throttle past 50% it will start but dies once throttle position is reduced. Has good fuel pressure, new ignition module/coil and coil wire. Distributor cap and rotor are < 1yr old.

Welcome to the forum. What is the subject of our discussion? Make, model, year, engine size, carb type or efi, drive type. Maybe serial #?

Guess that info would be prudent! 2004 Caravelle open bow, 350 Mag MPI, OM666377. The engine ran fine the first couple times out. Launched the boat then it started dying when the throttle lever was reduced below 30-50 %. Two quick beeps of the warning system sounded. I can get it to start after pushing the neutral shift button and advancing the throttle past 50%.

Changed inline filter and fuel water separator filters recently. Performed the fuel press check and the pump is running fine delivering > 35 psi to the rail. The trouble shooting manual pointed to the ign coil module, changed that, no help. The curious thing is that it will start as I posted earlier with the throttle in neutral and advanced past 50%.
