Hey, just wanted to show the outdrive stand that I threw together to work on my outdrive. I made it so that it rests on a dolly that I got from Harbor Freight . Under $20 and seems to work great. Please keep in mind that I'm not a carpenter so it doesn't look like a piece of beautiful furniture. Thanks for looking!

that's a real nice drive stand ya made excalibur1031. i know i'm not a carpenter either, but i think yer closer than i am to a carpenter. looks like it'll work real good.
yer gonna love having a drive stand. it makes drive removal (and install) much easier. using mine, i can remove and replace the drive by myself. it's just a great item to have if yer working on i/o's. almost a must have item imho... great job....

Great idea guys,I need to build me one of those. I got a piece of plywood with a V notch cut in it to lay on saw bucks for working on the drive, but one on wheels at the right height to remove and install would be cool. Another project..

Excalibur,
I moved this to the Mercruiser forum so anyone needing to service their outdrive might see your stand and make one of their own. Thanks John

Here's one I made. Works pretty good. I like the idea of being able to roll it around.
