Hello,
Getting ready to take the boat out for the start of the season. I found the grease fitting for the Coupler in the engine bay, I'm wondering how many pumps it needs? I have a 2006 Glastron with a 3.0 alpha 1. Also I have read that I should not put Quicksilver 2-4-C in the Coupler or the Gimbel, because it contains Teflon, does that sound right? I just purchased some quicksilver extreme grease for these applications.

Ayuh,.... Give it 4 or 5 pumps,.... Much more, 'n it'll make a greasy mess back there,......

2-4-C is for bushing type bearings, not rollers or balls,....

Just a bit of advice, simply hitting a fitting with some grease is not the right approach to servicing an outydrive. You have no idea if the bellows contain oil or water, how the engine alignment is, and how dry the U joints are.. Just not worth the $7.00 you save by not removing the drive.
