Oil sending unit 7.2l Mercruiser

My oil pressure gauge is not showing any reading at any rpm, so I'm guessing that it'snot the oil pump but either the sending unit or the gauge.

Where is the sending unit located on the engine ?

Did you mean 7.4L?

Do you have your engine serial number handy? If not, what year and model do you have? Carb or MPI?

Also did this just happen or after an oil change?

Yes, 7.4L

It is an 1989 carb and it happened as soon as I fired the engine up after winter storage.

either its located to the right and rear of the dist, or just above the oil filter
