if all else fails, pull the main engine harness plug and hot wire the coil , jump the slave to start the motor and see if the breaker still trips. This could help isolate the trouble to the engine , the harness wiring or the dash.
See post 4 , locate the choke heating element and hook the jumper there and shorty the slave solenoid to start the motor

Thanks Chris and Bt Doctur, will get back with you after running recommended procedures and will let you know. Could be a bit as the boat is at the lake house and am not sure when I will get back out there.

Went out to the lake for Memorial Day and took photos of gauges and control console. They are attached. We took boat out and discovered that the volt gauge would be pegged overcharging when we got throttled up, If we didn't throttle down and allow volt gauge to drop down and attempted to shift to neural it would kick the breaker. If we throttled down and ran for a bit before putting in neutral the volt gauge would retard down and we could then put in neutral without kicking the breaker. So, we have determined it to be an alternator issue with overcharging. We put a voltmeter on the alternator while at mid throttle and it was putting out 17 volts, which is way too much. One anomaly that we did notice is that if we were in neutral and revved the engine to get the volt gauge to peg and moved back to neutral, it wouldn't kick the breaker. Only under load and in gear did it kick breaker. We have ordered new alternator and will update you at that point. Any comments or feedback would be appreciated.
