I have to replace my transom plate. The pn on mine is 44116 c5. I've fpund a few of those exact part numbers, as well as 44116 c1, c2 and so on. Also have seen 44117a8 which looks similar. Mine is for a bravo 3. Are all these interchangeable? Tia
That serial number comes up as an Alpha One Gen II... You say you have a B-III?
The good news is that the Alpha Ones (from 1983 to present) and the Bravos (from 1988 to present) share the same inner transom plate. So -44117A8 is the correct number.
The number you're seeing on the plate is the casting number, and it's usually not the part number. It may bear a similarity, but you can't use it to order a new part.
