Engine removal 1987 mercruiser 260, 5.7

Im removing the engine of the boat due to a rod spun, the engine is hold only in the front engine mounts?, and the rear two bolts?, i already removed the risers how much a engine weight with the intake manifolds, carburetor, exhaust manifolds?

Ayuh,.... Ya gotta pull the drive 1st, then, Ya, the 2 big 1/2" bolts at the transom, 'n the lag bolts at the front mounts,....

Lift straight up, then out,...

Remove the drive. Disconnect the wiring, the grounds, and the power steering fluid lines from the actuator. Remove the fuel line and the throttle cable. Remove the shift plate from the starboard riser, but leave the cables on the plate. Remove the 2 bolts at the rear mount and remove the front mounts. Put a chain from the right, oops starboard, rear loop to the front port side loop.
Remove the engine, it weighs around 750 the way you have it dressed.

Also, watch out that you don't whack the engine into to power steering actuator.

Plan on about 600 - 800 lbs of lifting and provide about a 3X margin of safety.
