I am currently rebuilding my inboard Mercruiser 350 engine. I ordered a new Edelbrock 2506 Aluminum intake and I am having a problem matching the gasket. I was told the Sierra 18-0868 was the correct one. It is correct other than the water jacket is square on the intake and round on the new gasket(pictures included). Also I replaced the thermostat housing with a Sierra 18-1989, can anyone tell me what thermostat fits this housing? The kit came with different sleeves but I cannot find a thermostat that fits correctly.

Thanks in advance for the help.

the edelbrock is an automotive intake and has the step in it for the thermostat to sit in. the marine intakes do not have the step as the thermostat resides up in the t-stat housing.

I would not use Sierra gaskets, I would use the appropriate Felpro or Mallory or Mercruiser.

that intake gasket kit contains the intake manifold gaskets, the 2 rubber end gaskets and the round gasket for the dist.
you need to order the thermostat kit for the later SS housing. 18-1989K and either the 18-3551 142 Deg or 18-3552 160 Deg thermostat

Just to add, make sure you use a thermostat housing gasket with the rivets in it if you have any sensors in it.
