Mercruiser Alpha one coupler runout still a problem after new replacement.

I'm not a MC guru like some here but it sounds like with you had to replace one or both motor mount beds before dropping in the new engine correct? So now the coupler is way out of alignment with the gimbal bearing. If that's the case, I've been there and done that with a re-power job myself. If you have the engine in and the rear motor mounts set then like Alldodge said start trying to align with the bar and make the adjustments with the front motor mounts. I'm assuming you've studied up on that procedure.

I should have said this much much earlier but I got on a roll and went non stop once the obstacles were out the way. You guys really came around to send me your input of wisdom in my moment of failure and frustration. Because of the direction based on knowledge and a simple helping hand I was able to get only hours from completion for the first sea trial. You all are really goods guys. Thanks to all of you.
