bell housing wire?

hi guys 1987 alpha one, I noticed when I disassembly the bell housing from the gimbal I noticed a piece of wire, and been cut off, is located on the left side what is this wire for?

should be SS cable used for electrolsys protection between the steering yoke and gimbal housing for continuity

what I do, any ideas like I said the old one been cut or broken?,

Replace it, it's important. How it got broken is anyone's guess. Unfortunately parts for the 'continuity kit' are not available separately, so you have to buy the complete kit (or make up a grounding wire yourself). The kit is part number -99940A1.
