Ripped shift cable bellows

Can someone tell me if the shift cable bellows can be changed without removing the gimble housing on a Alpha 1 Gen II Mercruiser

Woops, my bad.... Your going to need to at least remove the hinge pins. After that you may or may not have enough room to get it done, how small are your hands?

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,..... If the bellows ripped, ya better replace the Cable too,....

Hands might fit , I figure Ill give it a try thanks. Just looking to get through the rest of the season here in Long Island, Gonna replace everything come winter

There some guys who have managed to make special tools with sockets and U-joints to replace it without tearing the gimbal out. Very time consuming though, but is possible.

I would replace the shift cable while you're at it.
