1999 mercruiser 350 mag mpi

this weekend my belt broke. we were able to put a new one on, but now the boat will not start. we have recharged the battery. it did run hot for a few minutes before we shut it off. This is a v drive ski boat. any suggestions?

You need to get a scan tool or the PC diagnostics on it...

Do you get the two beeps, or hear the fuel pump run when the key is turned to run?
Did you check for spark?
How hot did it get?
