So, I am trying to replace the power steering cable ram on my 1984 Chris Craft Scorpion 215 with the steering system as shown in this pdf..

I have removed every thing but the steering cable due to the coupler nut spinning the cable along with it, thus twisting the cable as it rotates. It comes to a point where it won't unscrew any more. Am I missing anything?
Thanks,
Les.

Hey Les, the nut should spin freely on the cable. With the nut being seized (if I understand what your saying) on the cable you may need to cut the cable off. Before you do that we would need to see what your seeing.
