MERCRUISER 1985 3.7L Engine Timing Chain

The timing chain I searching for is Model 68717A1 Fits 83-90 3.7L Mercury Engines. I'm having lots of trouble finding this Chain because its no longer made from what i'm hearing. If any one knows where i can look or is there a Timing Chain out there that fit this Engine. My Husband both it last yr and is going ape wall rebuilding this because some of the parts are Unavailable. Please Help

Sounds like you are looking for a timing chain for a MerCruiser I/O. If so, you should repost in the I/O section.

considering most of that motor used ford parts and the timing chain is similiar to Ford products, so try matching it ot a Ford motor.

I did my timing chain last year and have a '89 3.7L. I did not have any problems finding one. Use the link below to look up the Merc part number and then Google search it.
