Water pumps through transmission

[79 scarab twin]

I have a 79 scarab, twin 454's with older mercruiser trs or tsr out drives , recently moved from jet to I/o. I've got water pumping out of tranny dipstick hole on inside of transome, that motor also won't engage. Can anybody help.

You have a severly broken transmission. You need to replace it.

your tranmission cooler has failed. depending on how long it has been running with water instead of oil will determine if its fixable or now replaceable .
