Hello all. In need of a little help. Just changed my head gasket and ready to adjust the valves. Wondering if anyone knows which ones are intake and which ones are exhaust?

Thanks Bond-o. Is this for all 3.0s? Or is there another arrangement for other years of the 3.0?

Ayuh,... It's pretty much most motors with 4 cylinders in a row,...

Some of the heads have different port configurations, but they all have the same valve placement (as Bond-o listed).

What procedure are you using to set the valves, from the Mercruiser manual?

Thanks. Yes, I plan on doing the valve adjustment with engine not running. I have Service Manual Number 26.

I preferr the engine not running method but slightly different. I let an intake valve open and close, now that cyl is on compression stroke and adjust both pushrods .Thighten untill you cannot spin the pushrod and go 3/4 turn more. move to the next cyl intake valve and do it again, rotate untill intake opens and closes and adjust both pushrods, etc, etc.
