mercruiser 1347-9662 A4 quad linkage question

will attempting to clean up and rebuild the carb on the old boat we just bought (1347-9662 A4) we noticed that on the choke side it seemed that some of the normal linkage you would see on a quad seemed to be missing? normal from a car and other quads i have looked at. does anyone have a picture of what the linkage on this should be? its off the 260 mercruiser and its a 87 model. i took off what was there and never messed with the exisiting linkage and was wondering ifwhen i bought it some of it was gone. boat has ran since ive had it just not to well so were doing the tune-up since the boat had been sitting for a couple of years now.

id have to go digging around for it. i was just curious as to why it looks so much different and if im missing something off the carb. just wish i had some thing to compare it to is all
