Mercruiser 1 outdrive mounting gaskets

Can a Sierra 2619-1 gasket be used for a 1974 Mercruiser 1 outdrive and bell housing? I have been using Sierra round top gaskets for many years . A local marine parts place sold me one(2619-1) and said it is ok. I just don't want to be replacing the yoke,u-joints and upper oil seals if it is wrong.

Thank you. Going out to tighten the nuts now. It just looked a little funky with the seal for the oil hole sticking out from the mating surfaces.

As long as it seals the housing its good. Trim off the excess with a razor blade......no one will know.....
