going on year 3 of my crestliner muski 17 tri-hull restore so far replaced stringers floor transom and rebuilt out drive(bellows,gimble bearing shift cable etc) today started installed outdrive and inner transom plate book says to torq transom bolts 25 ft lbs so did just that but top left made a all to familier sound and now im looking for a new transom plate to replace my cracked one it also cracked bad by square washer bolt . transom is new and level and very solid plate seamed to sit flat don't understand why it would crack... any thoughts?
