I just bought a 1974 larson with a Mercruiser i6 165hp engine.
How do I find out what outdrive generation I have?
The exhaust bellow is torn so I bought a new one that is a lot shorter than the one on it now, it leads me to believe that previouse owner used an exhaust tube, am I better off installing a new tube or bellow? If a tube does anyone have a link to one?
Do I have to realign anything after I pull the outdrive to install the bellow?

most likely a MC1, post a pic of it.a new exaust bellow is a bit shorter because its not stretched out .A tube is easier to install.
If the drive simply pulls off without any trouble alignment should be ok. Its best to pull the drive and check it yearly.

MC1, the sillycone tells me you have a leaky housing or a rotted transom.
