trim limit switch

I have a 1997 5.0 Alpha 1 and would like to know how to adjust the limit switch on the outdrive when in the down position
and should the pump shut off when all the way down. On mine the only way I can tell if it is all the way down is by the sound and not always easy to hear when it's down or not.

No, the pump will not shut off automatically going down.

You can't set the trim limit while in the down position, you have to raise the drive up to a specified distance to adjust it.
