Have a 2007 Mercruiser 3.0 Litre, serial #1A019420, Mercruiser Alpha serial #OW890824.
Third time using the boat and ran great for over a hour. I shut it off for about 15 minutes and then it wouldn't start. Engine would not turn over, had power to instruments. 1/2 tank of gas. Got towed to marina and checked engine and notice the breaker switch was open.

Removed the 90 amp fuse at the starter solenoid and had it tested and told it was good.
Haven't checked other fuses. Appreciate any assistance.

There is no reason to remove that fuse just to test it. Simply use a meter or test light with the black lead or clip on a good ground and the red or light on the terminal of the fuse. If you show voltage or a light the fuse is good.

Have a look at the circuit breaker on the engine. Is it tripped?

Didn't have a test so I took it out and had it tested.

Reinstalled the fuse, tried to start it and it cranked but very very briefly. Circuit breaker didn't trip.

Thanks for your help.

Do you have good power to the starter? Good connections on the solenoid? A well charged battery? And good signal to the solenoid from the ignition switch?

Re: Mercrusier 3.0 won't start/turn over.

Have tried to reply several time but no luck.

The cause was a loose 6 volt cable at rear of the engine. Back on the water.
Thanks for your help.
