Back again,
Mercruiser 3.0L Alpha 1 Gen 2 I/O.
S/N OD714746 Engine
S/N OD671270 Transom
S/N OD665768 Drive

So I am wondering if something was missing in my bellows kit. I replaced all three bellows last month. When replacing the shift cable bellows I replaced the hose clamp on the transom side of bellows. There was no clamp for the aft side of bellows. There also was no clamp on the old one either. When at the store this week I saw just a shift cable bellows kit and it had what looks like a metal band which would be pinched around the aft side of the bellows. I bought a tiny hose clamp to put on if it is needed. So my question is, is a clamp required on this end of the SC bellows?

Thanks for helping.

Zip tie sounds good. Seems easier then trying to get that hose clamp on with drive already installed. Will do today.
Thanks guys
