I have a early 60s 120 which I have been using as a guide to piece together a 70s 140. The 120 uses a resistor and a resistor wire which I'm not sure I want to replicate on the 140. I am gathering that I can eliminate the need for the wire
and resistor if I use a coil with an internal resistor. I would prefer to use points and a condenser. The question is, if anyone has the time to answer, is what ohm value of coil should I use? Flamethrower for instance has .06, 30 and 15, although
Iboats has a universal coil where the ohm value isn't mentioned. Any help would be appreciated.
