Question on 5.0 Mercruiser

Sorry for being such a newbie, but where is the oil filter located on a 5.0 MerCruiser? The boat in question is an 89 Celebrity 192SE. I'm trying to do an oil change on it and can't find where that sucker is.

It will be low and way astern on the starboard side. Get an oil absorbent pad to put below it. They drip when removed.
One guy on here, think it was Bondo, has a good trick to keep it neat. Loosen the filter just slightly, then put a ziplock bag around it while you spin it off.

I think NHGuy meant Port side, not starboard. The starboard side you would find a starter.

Perfect guys, thanks a ton! I think the one on there must be black because it doesn't stand out like that at all. Good tips and yeah, saw the starter.
