Hello All,

here is the issue I am having:
-out drive would not stay up when trimmed, the hydraulics wouldnt hold it up
-replaced the trim pump, that helped some. it still leaks down, but very slow, it will drop about 3 inches at first, with in a couple minutes, then leak the the rest of the way down over a couple weeks
-I have bled the system, (ran tilt up and down several times
-there appears to be a very lite amount of fluid on the ram it self, nothing leaking out that I can see
-is it possible just a rebuild kit will take care of the bleed down?

-also, should the up and down speed be the same?
-it trims up really fast, but trimming down will take 4 times longer
-not sure if that is normal or if something is connected wrong.

any help is much appreciated
-it is the pre alph drive that I am working with.

Re: Pre Alpha Trim Cylinders

Thanks for the informatiom.

-Yes Bond-o, I have greased all the fittings on the outdrive, I do that with my regular maintenance.
-The link that was posted for the parts, doesnt match the cylinders I have and the instructions dont match up either.
-the Cylinders I have, have 2 hoses connecting at the end of the cylinder body up against the transom.
-would you happen to have the rebuild instructions for those cylinders? I have looked and unable to locate them.

Thanks so much for all your help.

-Again, is the up and down speeds suppose to be the same? or very close to the same?
