I have to be mechanically dumb. Or maybe I'm getting old and losing my mind, because I know I've removed the power steering belt before to change the alternator belt. I will claim I haven't spent a whole lot of time on this though! I've loosened the power steering hinge, but I'm unable to slip the belt off due to the large bolt that's in the way. I'm sure I could pull this off some good old fashioned force, but my concern is getting the new one on. I can't imagine force being the answer?

I think it's slowly coming back now, don't I remove the port side spacer and slightly jack-up the engine and the power steering belt will slide off?

I'm with Bond-o. Remove the pulley. If you jack the engine you'll mess up the alignment and possibly damage the coupler...

Does the pulley require a special tool, or does it pop off (with a little extra force)?

Remove 4 bolts. Bump with palm of hand... Pulley falls off...
