Okay it had a water separate on it I'll install a new filter on it. I'll put an electric pump on it and rebuild the carb. Best way to drain the tank with it taking the deck up?

Don't just install a new filter, pour the contents of the old filter into a clear container and check for water.

Check your serial number again and see if that first 0 is actually a C

It's a 1989 3.7L engine (3.7LX if the 4bbl carb). Model # 437B100BS

It's still a 470 style motor, just the right name.

It should be the non lx i believe last time i checked it was a 2bbl carb

Yes, there are two kits, one has a straight accelerator pump shaft the other a shaft with a 90 degree bend. With an 89 I believe this is the kit you need 1397-6367A1

Thank you in owed some money so I think it'll be carb rebuild and new fuel pump this week. Do you know where I can find a block of plate for the mechanical pump as I'm gonna switch to electric
