Mercruiser alpha one steering ram question

Hi all
Hopefully someone can help me I have just bought a fishing boat and its fitted with a mercruiser 3.0LX engine and a alpha one gen1 sternleg I toolkit out on the first trip and the steering pump fractured and now need a new steering ram.
My question is will the steering ram from the alpha one gen 2 fit on the gen 1?

the power steering pump cant destroy the ram. post the engine serial number and you may get a link to a manual .posting pics
is always usefull

Sorry bud wrote the wrong thing the steering ram fractured and pumped hydrolic oil all over the deck,

I need to order a new steering ram and just wondered if the alpha gen 2 will fit the 1st generation I've looked all over the web but can't find an answer
