Hey folks,

I have to change out the Bravo u-joint bellows on our 98 Monterey, due to a u-joint issue we had recently. The bellows is torn, and must be replaced. The drive is already removed, and I have installed the new u-joints and it is ready to back on.

Can I simply remove the exhaust bellows, tilt the bell housing up, and get the new u-joints bellows in position from underneath, or do I have to removed the hinge pins and do it that way? I'm hoping I can save some time by just installing it from underneath.

Has anyone else done it this way?

Thanks for your replies!

Re: Bravo Bellows Replacement

you can try but its going to be very difficult that way

removing the hinge pins and pulling the bell housing is the easiest and best way to do this job, gives you a chance to fully inspect everything too

may as well just do it all as long as you are back there and have it all apart, that way you know everything is good to go and shouldn't have any issues later on
