Ok so when I got this boat it would trim down but not up. When I try to make it go up no clicks or noises happen. I am able to use a jumper to put power to the up terminal on the solenoid and it works great. So that's problem no one. No two is there are a blue wire and a purple wire coming out of the transom and then a blue and purple wires coming from the pump wire harness but these two have female bullet connectors on them. I tried hooking them together blue to blue and purple to purple but still no up trim. Any suggestions???

Does it come up if you push the center and top button at the same time?

Re: Single solenoid trim pump wiring?

I found my wiring diagram too. Much easier to follow.

I assume when you jumped the solenoid terminals, you jumped the two large terminals (A and C in drawing) to make it work.
Try jumping between A and D and see if it works.

Also, using your volt meter, put your black test lead on B and your red test lead on A. You should show battery voltage.

Re: Single solenoid trim pump wiring?

If A and B voltage is ok, then you need a new solenoid. If it shows no or VERY little voltage, you have a bad ground on that black wire .

Re: Single solenoid trim pump wiring?

OK, so i replaced the solenoid, and it works!! i think. lol It goes down with the bottom button, and i have to push the top two buttons for it to go up. Is that just the way its supposed to be by pushing the two buttons for up, or is something else broken.

Re: Single solenoid trim pump wiring?

The trim limit switch is either inop or way out of adjustment.
You should be able to trim up around 15 to 20? with the center button, then use both buttons to raise it all the way up for trailering.

You can either bypass the limit switch and use a single button for everything, or fix it.
