Kill switch lanyard for 1995 Maxum 2100 SR / mercruiser 4.3 / Quicksilver 3000 throt

I purchased my first boat but was not given a lanyard (took me some hours to find out why it cranks but does not start). Warning sign under egnition key says won't start without it.

I will need to buy one. My search comes up with very little information of which I need.

This thread says lanyards are manufacturer specific.

Could someone point me to a picture what the lanyard looks like. I know it gets connected to a red toggle switch near throttle. Once I see a picture I will know what to buy.

Genuine Mercury/Mercruiser safety lanyard. This is a factory original equipment part, not aftermarket. Replaces prior part number 15920A54.

SeaDog lanyards. You can google them . . . I just bought 2 of them for my boat. There are 2 common styles. One that holds the kill switch in and the other that holds it out. Make sure to get the right type.

also, make sure to buy the 'lanyard only' part, not the lanyard and switch.

Ted, You have kill switches in the 330 ????? Never seen em in a big cruiser before.

Yes, I think all Formula's have them . . . At least the Sun Sports and the Fastec's , but probably the cruisers too.

The one pictured by Slip Away is the proper lanyard for the 3000 control.

Kill lanyards are required on many I/O powered boats.
