Mercruiser under boat sea water pump question

Hi, Just bought a 94 Crownline cuddy with a closed cooling system on the Mercruiser 5.7 I/O. This boat has a sea water pump on the underside of the hull. I'm used to just hooking up the muffs on the leg when I flush it. My question is do I need to put a flusher on the underside of the hull for the seawater pump and another flusher on the leg at the same time while I'm running it in the driveway?

Thanks.

The pump is not under the hull, only the pickup. What outdrive do you have? With an Alpha, you need to have water on the drive as well as on the hull pickup. Bravo drive muffs aren't needed.

It's an Alpha drive yes. Thanks for the quick reply!

The pump in the drive helps to keep the drives upper cool while running on plane.
