I have Mercruiser Bravo 3 5.0L MPI. Is there an easy way to change these spark plugs? I cannot even get my hand to the #1 spark plug because it is so tight. Is there a trick to this?

Ok. So basically I should just suck it up and shove my fat arm down there.

Some boats with a 5.0L Mercruiser you can see all the plugs and it's a 10 minute job, there really are some that you have to pull the engine on. One I used to work on took 5 hours to get the engine out. Putting it back in took longer. The boat design engineers could care less about maintenance.

If you remove the cooling hose that goes to the bottom of the manifold and let it drop out of the way, you can get to the plug.
