It's 30+ years old, the chances of it being original is slim. The kill switch is what you hook the lanyard to. aka dead mans switch, lanyard switch etc. Follow that purple wire from the ignition switch to the coil. If you don't have one, then it won't be a problem, but a previous owner may have installed one.

Looking at the picture the ingnition termanals are A,B,I,S. On my ignition the termanals read A,B,I,C and the C does not ligt up.

That one will only light up when you turn the key to START. And we know that works because it starts fine....
