Alpha/ Bravo drive cut out hole size question

I am going to restore a Glastron CVX-18 and it has a Merc 305 and Alpha config in it now. I have a donor boat with a newer 350 Mag / Bravo one configuration. If I am correct, should that not fit in the same area the original engine is at ow? I know I will have to change everything out, but is the cutout the same for the Alpha and the Bravo?

I thought so. Would there be any reason I should not use a bravo in the CVX-18? Weight?

When I helped my buddy remove his Bravo 1 it felt about the same weight as my alpha gen 2 drive,maybe just a little heavier....both those are light compared to my B3.
