Hi,

I ordered a new oil filter an in the process of changing it. I pulled the old filter and it is a Merc 35-866340K01. I ordered a Sierra 18-7876. The specs on the page says Replaces Cruiser #52731 will this work? The new one is a bit longer but i don't have any clearance issues.

Engine serial 0F274600

Thanks,
Mitchell

Ayuh,.... I'm Guessin' this is a Chevy motor,..??

The I4s, 'n the V8s use the Same filter, 'n it comes in different lengths...

The 4.3l, V6s use a filter all their own, which also can be had in several lengths...
It's noticeably smaller in diameter than the other Chevy filters...

If it's a Remote filter, check the screw thread pitch, 'n where the gasket sets,...
If they're the Same, it's the Right filter...

The Sierra 18-7876 fits/works very nicely on my 1990 5.0L
