Trim meter

I have noticed that my trim gage bounces back and forth while running from full up to to full down all by itself, is this normal. Does something need to be fixed or are these things just useless.

If its a mercrusier, your trim sender or the wiring to it is most likey suspect. <br /><br />Replacing the sender requires removal of u-joint bellows. <br /><br />Might be a good idea to hold off on it until you do all of the bellows. Replacing the bellows should be an every 3-5 year thing if your boat is in a slip.
