95 4.3 vortec fly wheel

New to the forum.Wanting to know what the fly wheel diameter an how many teeth on a 96 4.3 vortec mercruiser engine?And can you change the ring gear instead of the buying a new fly wheel? I just bought the boat an thought i just had a starter issue but now i figured out theres some teeth missing on the fly wheel.Thanks for any info you guys may have.

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,... yes, the ring gear can be changed, by itself,....

Which bolt pattern is the starter,..?? staggered, or straight across,..??

Straight across is the 12" flywheel, 'n the staggered is the 14" flywheel...

Its the staggered bolt pattern. ISthe fly wheel a 168 tooth?

LOL thanks. Now to pull the engine an get it straightened out before it gets cool weather.
