Very bad rattle that came on with no warning

I was out in my boat the other day and just came down off half throttle to come in to the marina and my boat started rattling to beat he!! It runs fine...no problems what so ever and that came up....it Is a 1984 mercruiser 120 that I just rebuilt this past winter...checked valves...pulled side plate...checked lifters push rods and rockers...all good...sounds like a diesel engine...it does not seem to be getting worse just very annoying...sounds like glass balls rolling around in my engine...drained oil and changed filter...no metal anywhere...sounds like it is coming from behind the motor...any help would be greatly appreciated...

My noise ended up being a loose flywheel...is there any way to tighten bolts without pulling the motor back out?

So I have to pull the outdrive off and the motor again? Man that sucks lol
