Hello,
I posted a question in March regarding my boat, a restored 1969 Sea Ray SRV210. At the time it was to cold here to open her up and track what appeared to be a massive leak in the intakes. We took her apart today. There is 2 block cracks. 1 quite large. The block is apparently shot. Is there a cross application where I can use a long block GM inline 6 that would match the outdrive. I have access to a used inline 6, 1970. I also can buy a new long block, but that is some dollars. Will do it if needed, but the used seems better. The manifolds appear un-damaged, though obviously a gasket kit is in order. Surprisingly, these are available. My main question is, will the tail end of a GM 6cyl match up to my out-drive. And would there be any other issues? I have already up-graded the altranator and the wiring. PLEASE.... ANY help or info would be greatly appreciated.
I do not want to give up on this beauty.
Thank you,
Dennis.
