Oil pressure drop

This doesn't seem to be a big deal, but I wanted to know if other people out there have this same issue.

When I slow the boat down, after running on plane, and bring the throttle to neutral my oil pressure drops pretty pretty low. Sometimes to the point where it's causes the alarm to sound. But after a few moments it rises again and the alarm stops. If I remember correctly my oil pressure stays around 50-60 psi when cruising around and idling with no wake. It's just when I'm crushing and then quickly bring it to neutral it drops?

Is this normal? Is this an indication something is about to break? Bad sensory? Anyone with this same problem? Should I add more oil, take some out?

Thanks

Re: Oil pressure drop

Check the level. May be a bit low or high. aerated oil that at higher rpms the pump flows enough to build pressure and then when you back off, the lower rpm's with aerated oil will not build pressure, then pump gets good oil and pressure returns.
